Hosting plan transfer to EUserv
If you have an existing hosting plan at your previous provider, please go on with point Hosting plan transfer with a domain.
Hosting plan transfer without a domain
The hosting plan transfer from your previous provider to EUserv is easy with little preparation.
The following steps are necessary for a hosting plan transfer:
- Collecting data for hosting plan transfer
- Download / backup data from your previous provider
- Termination of the hosting plan contract at your previous provider
- Order of the hosting plan at EUserv
- Upload data to your new hosting plan
- Additional adjustments of your hosting plan
Collecting data for hosting plan transfer
Collecting data of your existing hosting plan
Technical data
Make sure, which:
- PHP version is installed.
- PHP modules are installed.
- PHP values are set.
- software is installed.
- database connection is configured.
- size for your space is scheduled.
Contract data
Make sure, that:
- the hosting plan contract can be cancelled according to the contract period.
- you have observed the applicable term of notice.
Collecting data for your new hosting plan at EUserv
Technical data
Check, which:
- PHP version is required.
- PHP modules have to be installed.
- PHP values have to be set.
- software has to be installed.
- database connection is required.
- size for your space is required.
Contract data
Verify, which:
- contract terms have to be observed.
- contract period applies for the new hosting plan.
Check, if all conditions are present
Make sure, that you:
- have checked all technical data of your previous hosting plan and new hosting plan at EUserv.
- have checked all contract data of your previous hosting plan and new hosting plan at EUserv.
Process the hosting plan transfer
Download / backup data from the previous provider
Download all data from your previous hosting plan and create a local backup. This can be uploaded to your new hosting plan at EUserv later. Use a FTP software for this.
Termination of the hosting plan from your previous provider
- Cancel your domain with your previous provider according to the the terms and conditions there.
- Confirm your termination in writing (email, fax, mail) with your previous provider.
Order of the hosting plan at EUserv
- Go on our website.
- Click on 'Hosting' in the upper menu.
- Order a hosting plan at EUserv in the desired plan.
- Login with your login data or register, if you are not registered yet.
- Complete the order.
Payment
You will receive an email with all payment information. After we received your payment, your hosting plan transfer will be processed.
Upload data on your new hosting plan
Upload your already secured data via FTP access to your hosting plan. Use a FTP software e.g. FileZilla or the web interface WebFTP.
Additional adjustments of the hosting plan
Set / Change configuration settings
Finally, set necessary configuration settings for your hosting plan at EUserv.

The hosting plan transfer with a domain from your previous provider to EUserv is easy with little preparation.

Collecting data of your domain
Whois (Owner-C/Admin-C)
Make sure, that you:
- are the domain owner (Owner Contact) of the domain or
- the administrative contact person (Admin Contact) of the domain or
- you have done a contractual agreement concerning the domain transfer with the current domain owner.
DNS settings (for experienced users)
Check and notice:
- which DNS settings are set for your domain. (These will not be copied during a domain transfer.)
- if further special settings (e.g. TXT or SPF records) have been set in the domain area.
Redirect settings
Check:
- which redirect settings (= domain forwarding) have been set for the domain. (These will not be copied during a domain transfer).
- which subdomains or redirects (e.g. http://ssl.meinedomain.xy) have been set.
Contract period, notice period and authcode / authinfo
Please make sure, if:
- the domain contract can be cancelled according to the contract period.
- you have observed the applicable term of notice.
- you have an authcode or authinfo (.de, .it domains) for the domain transfer.

- Ask for the necessary authinfo / authcode at your previous provider.
Order of the hosting plan at EUserv
- Go on our website.
- Click on 'Hosting' in the upper menu.
- Order a hosting plan at EUserv in the desired plan.
- Login with your login data or register, if you are not registered yet.
Order of the domain at EUserv
- Choose the appropriate top-level domain.
- Enter the domain name for the transfer to EUserv.
- Submit, that the displayed data of the domain owner are yours.
If the data is not correct, please contact your previous provider to update the domain data before you transfer the domain.
- Complete the order.
Input authcode / authinfo in customer service center
- Login into the customer service center under http://support.euserv.de with your email address and your password.
- Select your domain contract, choose "Contracts".
- Enter the authcode from your previous provider right next to your domain contract.
- Click on "Speichern".
Payment
You will receive an email with all payment information. After we received your payment, your hosting plan transfer will be processed.
