Domain transfer with a server to EUserv
General
Do you have a server with a domain and want to transfer it to EUserv?
You should perform the domain and server transfer from each other separately. How to implement this act, you can see these instruction.
Server transfer
- Order a root server at the EUserv.
- After it has been provided, log in to the customer service center below http://support.euserv.de.
Now the server must be initialized and be placed in the initial state. Select your desired operating system.
Click confirm to start the server initialization.
The desired operating system is installed in your server.
- Now set up your server with EUserv.
- Now you can transfer the services from the old server to the new server at the EUserv.
- Test the functionality of the newly created server (running the web server and run all services as required?)
- Change the DNS records at your old provider to the IP address of the new server in the EUserv.
- Test the functionality of the newly created server again (the domain is connected up and achievable?)
Domain transfer
In order to transfer your domain to EUserv, the following steps are necessary:
- Request the AuthCode with your old provider.
- Order now a domain product from EUserv with the desired plan.
- Enter the AuthCode of the domain in the customer service center after the order.
You can login to the customer service center and choose the contracts/orders from your domain contract.
There you can now enter the AuthCode of the old provider.
Transferring is done within a few days.
After the processing of the order in the customer service center you select your domain contract and take all the necessary DNS settings: DNS-Einstellungen
Test for the security again whether the configuration meets your requirements. If so, you can cancel the server to your old provider.
